I think there is a setting in web admin somewhere that you can specify that manual recordings are to be entered at the highest priority. I'm sorry I don't have the time to hunt it down at the moment. I schedule all my recordings manually, and when I schedule a one-time recording over, say, a Weekly recording, it always works properly. the one-time recording goes into the schedule, and the weekly one isn't recorded. So it seems like there must be a setting somewhere. When this situation occurs, I never see a conflict dialog or warning; I don't know if this is because I always schedule shows in web admin, or because it's set up to handle conflicts automatically without giving a warning.
