Don't think it will happen; if I understand correctly (from the nvidia DVD decoder KB) this is a Dolby licensing issue... Seriously this is becoming pathetic : I'm sure we are already paying Dolby license for Speakers, DVD, DVD Decoders, Sound card... they want obviously more
That said, I was not very impressed by the advanced audio features of the nvidia dvd platinum... especially with Prologic II.
So this is currently what I am doing :
* use direct analog connection from my Audigy (1) to Logitech Z5500 speakers
* use built in AC3 Dolby Digital decoder of the Audigy
* configured the nvidia decoder to use S/PDIF passthrough
* configured audigy drivers to use CMSS (a weak upmixing algorithm used for stereo sources)
If find it more easy to use this way, because :
* You can change sound effect directly on the speaker (and thus disabling Creative CMSS for a real Prologic II)
* You can use volume control on your PC (with real S/PDIF passthrough you couldn't, and I hate to have to play with 4 volumes controls : one on the speakers, one for the main volume, one for the wave volume, one for the application, and I hate to have to tell the wife : hmmm when you play a DVD be sure to use this remote to lower the volume, then use this remote to start playing the DVD...

)
* You can have 5.1 sound in games or WMV HD / WM
Or wait for a soundstorm PCI sound card but I'm afraid of some issues like: how the upmixing is done and why...

Stéphane.
