I tried that GUID however still no sound in Beyond Medio unless I use another decoder. I want to get the NVidia sound working as I plan to get the advanced sound pack version of the NVidia decoders, just don't want to purchase them if we can't get sound in Beyond Media.
I have purchased the Platinum pack and unfortunately 5.1 audio (through 5.1 analog direct connection to speakers) with the nvidia decoder will only work with Windows Media Player and Media Center, all other applications will not be able to use the Dobly / DTS Decoder with 5.1 speakers (this include Beyond Media). Apparently this is because of licensing problems...

The only way to output 5.1 with nvidia decoder in Beyond Media is to use S/PDIF passthrough to an external receiver and thus the receiver will decode Dolby and DTS

OR

use S/PDIF passthrouhg with an Audigy 2ZS card (or any sound card with built in Dolby / DTS Decoder) and activate the built in Dolby / DTS Decoder of the card. Then you will not use a S/PDIF cable to your receiver but a 5.1 direct analog connection.

Regards,
Stéphane.
