although snapstream is an excellent product, windvr or powervcr might be a better option for you if you see yourself burning to cd very often. those 2 programs record natively to mpeg compatible formats which vcd's and dvd's use. anything recorded by snapstream is in windows media format, which has many merits, but would require a time consuming conversion for every file that you wanted to burn and play on a stand alone player. snapstream has many features that those other don't, such as remote control of all aspects of the program, from playing files over a network, to configuration of how programs are recorded, to setting up new shows to record, all in one seamless interface. Those other programs are simpler and you effectively have to be at the console to setup shows unless you pay more money for remote control software. With all that said, you need to figure out where your priorities are and go with the program that addresses them.
