The default decoder is specified in the Registry somewhere, and I'm not sure how to change it (besides uninstalling it); WMP should use that same default decoder, as any other DirectShow app.

No problems at all with anything else, I think. My decoder is currently set to Intervideo, but I would be willing to switch it to something else to test...
How shall we proceed from here?
