Re: What kind of home network do you have?
I have a varied hybrid network setup at home myself...
I have:
1 - 802.11b wireless access point/repeater - (laptop surfing and Wireless access, especially for PocketPC)
1 - 4 port 10 mbit HUB (For data sniffing purposes, idle)
1 - 5 port 10/100 switch - Clarkconnect box, 1 Desktop and Xbox attached to this, uplinked to 10mbit HUB and 8 port switch
1 - 8 port 10/100 switch - Vonage broadband phone adapter, Second server NIC connection, BTV box, 1 desktop, as well as spare port for TiVo, uplinked to 5 port switch and Gigabit switch, and Access Point
1 - 5 port Gigabit switch - 3 desktops wired in for Gigabit + 1 server port, uplinked to 8 port switch
All behind a Clarkconnect linux firewall box. I'll never use my Linksys AP/Router again.
Talk about a mess of cables!
